Thank you for your enthusiastic reception of Syncfusion products, and especially for your attention toward our .NET MAUI controls. Every day, we receive some queries through our support system regarding Syncfusion .NET MAUI products. We are really happy to provide you with responses.
In this blog, I have the privilege to deliver answers for some of the common and frequently asked questions.
Does Syncfusion provide .NET MAUI controls?
Yes. Syncfusion provides .NET MAUI controls and technical support for them. We released our first set of .NET MAUI controls in Essential Studio 2021 Volume 3, and the second set of .NET MAUI controls in the 2021 Volume 4. You can expect more controls in our upcoming releases.
When will Syncfusion complete porting its existing 150+ Xamarin UI controls to MAUI?
We are working to deliver brand-new .NET MAUI controls that can be used in your migrated .NET MAUI projects with minimal breaking changes. We will update the migration document for each control to make replacing our Xamarin.Forms controls with our .NET MAUI controls in your app easy. Every release we are delivering another set of controls, and over time we will deliver all the equivalents to our Xamarin.Forms offering.
Are the .NET MAUI controls migrated from Xamarin.Forms?
No. The .NET MAUI controls were developed from scratch with the .NET MAUI graphics library and framework layouts themselves with improved APIs and performance.
Is there any upgrade path from Xamarin to MAUI?
We are planning to provide Xamarin.Forms controls that are compatible with the .NET MAUI framework. We will update the migration document for each control to make replacing our Xamarin.Forms controls with our .NET MAUI controls in your app easy.
