When attempting to open a relatively large form (~53KB) containing, among other things, an instance of a TabControlAdv, the Windows Forms designer bails out with the following message: [[ This method cannot be invoked because the serialization manager does not have an active serialization session. Hide at System.ComponentModel.Design.Serialization.DesignerSerializationManager.System.ComponentModel.Design.Serialization.IDesignerSerializationManager.GetInstance(String name) at Syncfusion.Windows.Forms.Tools.Design.TabControlAdvDesigner.GetExisitingTypeLoader() at Syncfusion.Windows.Forms.Tools.Design.TabControlAdvDesigner.DesignerLoadCompleteHandler(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.EventHandler.Invoke(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.Design.DesignerHost.OnLoadComplete(EventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.Design.DesignerHost.System.ComponentModel.Design.Serialization.IDesignerLoaderHost.EndLoad(String rootClassName, Boolean successful, ICollection errorCollection) at System.ComponentModel.Design.Serialization.BasicDesignerLoader.OnEndLoad(Boolean successful, ICollection errors) at System.ComponentModel.Design.Serialization.CodeDomDesignerLoader.OnEndLoad(Boolean successful, ICollection errors) at System.ComponentModel.Design.Serialization.BasicDesignerLoader.System.ComponentModel.Design.Serialization.IDesignerLoaderService.DependentLoadComplete(Boolean successful, ICollection errorCollection) at System.ComponentModel.Design.Serialization.BasicDesignerLoader.BeginLoad(IDesignerLoaderHost host) at System.ComponentModel.Design.DesignerHost.BeginLoad(DesignerLoader loader) ]] We are using Visual Studio 2005 beta 2. The designer in VS2003 worked fine with this form. Any help/workarounds would be appreciated. -- Arild

Hi Arild, This is a known issue Defect#473 which has been completely fixed internally in our latest source code build v3.3 RC due for release shortly. Let me know if you would be interested in receiving a private build of v3.3 containing this fix. Could you please send me the version of Essential Studio you are using? Thanks for your interest in Syncfusion products. Regards, Mano

Hi Arild, The latest Essential Studio build (v3.3) will require an unlock key. Could you please create a Direct-Trac incident and request for v3.3? We appreciate your continued interest in Syncfusion products. Regards, Mano
