If you are upgrading the libraries from one Volume release (Eg. 17.3.0.*) to another (Eg.17.4.0.*), you should generate the license key for that version (17.4.0.*) and register in your application.
If you upgrade from Volume release (17.3.0.*) to its Service pack or NuGet release, it is not required to generate and register the license key again. Please refer the following KB article link for more information.
