is it possible that the DataManager uses previously implemented methods that build a connection to the REST server to get data instead of using an URL directly?
I have my own service proxies created by NSwag and I would like to use these if possible.

We can’t able to achieve this requirement in the DataManager component and we can use this for provide adaptors of DataManager. Based on your query we suspect that we can achieve this using async pipe concept but currently in Scheduler, this support is not available.
