Hello,

Is there a minified version of material.css (https://cdn.syncfusion.com/ej2/17.3.10/material.css) since the unminified is too large.

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support. 

We suggest you to use the Custom Resource Generator (CRG) utility. This helps to generate the minified and unminfied versions of Syncfusion EJ2 scripts and styles. You can select the required components and then generate and download the minified css file from CRG. Please find the CRG online link below,

For 17.3.10 version minified scripts. Kindly check the Minified checkbox (refer below) and choose the version as 17.3.10-Patch from version dropdown. Refer the below screenshot.

I have a couple of questions regarding the minification. First, why is there no option to select the current syncfusion blazor version (17.4.0.42)? Second, even when minified the components are very large e.g. the grid has a min.js file that is 2 MB. Is there a way to reduce the size?

Hi Ivan,

In order to fix some broken issue in the 17.0.4.41 version of Blazor, we have refreshed Blazor Nuget package under version 17.4.0.42.  So we recommend to use Blazor script version 17.4.0.41 in CRG instead of 17.4.0.42. We would like to inform you that we have released our latest Syncfusion Blazor version (17.4.0.43).  So kindly we request you to use our latest version 17.4.0.43 of Blazor scripts from the CRG.

We are able to reproduce the reported issue at our end. We have confirmed the reported query as improvement and logged defect report for the same “Reduce the script file size based on the selected features for Grid control in CRG”. Fix for this issue will be included in our next release which is expected to be rolled out on or before 12^th February 2020.

As per your request we have considered all components for optimizing the scripts files based on its feature and it will be included in our next patch release which is expected to be rolled out on or before 26^th February 2020.

From your query we understand that you are facing issue with script file size while downloading from Custom Resource Generator. We have ensured the reported issue by downloading the Grid minified scripts for specific features (paging, filtering etc) and consolidating all the features in Grid. The maximum file size downloaded for all the Grid features is 2.07MB.  

 

1. 1.6MB – selected features  like (paging, filtering, sorting etc).
2. 2.07MB – for all features in Grid.

 

Can you please share the following details which will be helpful for us to validate the reported issue at our end.  

 

1. Share the details about the version you have tried to download.
2. Are you facing the issue the reported issue while trying to download the scripts will all the features of the Grid or with selected features?
