String number mixed case sorting

Dear Support Team,

We want to sort data in a grid. The sorted data is A1, A2, A3, A14, B1, B2, B13 etc.
But while sorting with ejgrid, the data is A1, A15, A2, A3 .......

Is there any way that we can sort it properly?

Regards,
Talha

Hi Talha,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion Forums.

QUERY: String number mixed case sorting

From your query we understand that you need to alphanumeric value in a specific manner.

When we sort the value you have specified, it will be sorted like A1, A15, A2, A3 only. This is the behavior of alphanumeric sorting.

In EJ1 Grid, we don’t have support for custom sorting. If you need to perform custom sorting, we suggest you to use EJ2 Grid.

Please refer the below help documentation,

If you have further queries, please get back to us.
