Allowing unbound rescheduling of recurring appointment occurrences

If I create a daily recurring appointment with 10 occurrences, I am not allowed to move the occurrences around freely. The ten occurrences must stay in the exact same order 1,2,3... up to 10.

Why is this limitation enforced and how can I remove it? I want to be able to move around all occurrences freely.

If for example my client/customer want to reschedule the 9th occurrence but keep the 10th, I would have to move the 10th occurrence to a new date and then move 9th occurrence to whichever date the 10th occurrence had; not really ideal.

The picture  below show the message I get when trying to move the 9th occurrence past the 10th.
