Grid column re-ordering broken in 17.4.40

Steps to reproduce:
  • Create a grid with AllowReordering enabled
Result:
  • Columns do no change order. The dragging animation shows but the columns do not appear to move.
  • Doing this with EnablePersistence on causes inconsistent behavior when refreshing. The columns are in the new order on refresh but the headers are incorrect.
This was working in 17.4.39 but just broke in the latest release (17.4.40). This is easy to recreate but I've also attached a sample that demonstrates the issue.

The fix in place does not address the issue I was having with EnablePersistence, where refreshing the page causes the column headers to be mixed up.

Steps to reproduce:
  • Create a grid with AllowReordering and EnablePersistence enabled
  • Re-order columns
  • Refresh page
Result:
  • The column order will be preserved but the headers will show the default ordering

I have verified that this is still an issue in 17.4.42 and 17.4.43. You can reproduce this easily by updating my provided sample to 17.4.43.
