Found the following in the install log after installing SP2:

Install Visual Studio ExtensionsInstalling MVC extensions in Visual Studio location.Failed
  1. Ensure the following files exist in the below location.
    1. 7za.exe
    2. 7z.dll
    3. SyncfusionVSIXInstallerConsole.exe.
      {Installed Location}\Utilities\Extensions\MVC
  2. Ensure the following files exist in the below location.
    1. SyncfusionMVCProjectWizard.dll
    2. SyncProducts.xml
    3. Themes.xml
      {InstalledLocation}\Utilities\Extensions\MVC\Project Templates\Syncfusion MVC
  3. Run InstallMVCExtension.exe with administrator privileges from {Installed Location}\Utilities\Extensions\MVC location.

I'm not sure if the MVC extension is supposed to be included in Essential Studio - is it legacy MVC? In any case, the files cited in the error do not appear to exist in the install location, so I'm stumped as to how to fix the issue (if I'm supposed to).

Hi Mathan,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion Support.

We suspect that the issue occurred since the Visual Studio IDE was opened at the time of Essential Studio installation. Please follow the below steps to check Syncfusion Visual Studio extensions are installed or not in your Visual Studio,

1.       Please check whether the Syncfusion Visual Studio extensions has been Enabled or not in the Visual Studio by clicking Tools->Extension and updates. If its disabled, click Enable button to enable it. Refer to the below screenshot.

2.       If the Syncfusion Visual Studio extensions is not available on Extensions and Updates dialog, you can install the Syncfusion Visual Studio Extensions manually by following the steps given in below user guide,

Also, please follow the steps suggested in the below KB article link and send us the zip file which consists of complete Syncfusion Installer logs generated by our tool. It would be much helpful for us to analyze the reported issue.

Prem Kumar. M
