Digital signature made outside of library

Hello,

is possible somehow to create PDF file using Essencial PDF library without signature. Then compute hash with external code(perhaps lib would return which data should be hashed), make digital signature (with potentional timestamp) in external code and then call some method in Essencial PDF to ember this self-made signature into PDF ?

This would enable us to use out certificate management, advanced signature possibilities (like timestamping) etc. without need to implement all of those into library itself.

Thanks in advance,
Martin

btw: maybe there is way via subclassing PdfSignature?

Hi Martin,

Thank you for your interest in Syncfusion products.

PdfCertificate class is used for getting the certificates from disk and PdfSignature class is used to sign document with the given certificate. But regarding self-made signature into PDF, currently it’s not possible. However, we have forward to our development team and will update the possibilities by tomorrow.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards,
Bhuvana
