How to get text from a existing PDF File

Hi all,

we're currently evaluating EssentialPDF and we need to know HOW to get all text (no matter if its included in tables or from page etc...) from a existing PDF Document. Is there a equivalent to DocIO's GetText???

Please provide some sample code.

How to get text from a existing PDF File

Currently we are working on implementing the features already available in legacy PDF in New PDF. In our old PDF we do have support only to read Page by page, we can't read any element in the Page. This is a new feature that doesn't exist in old version. This needs to be analyzed for its feasibility in integrating with our new PDF and we do not have any immediate plan for implementing this in the near future. We will let you know once this feature has been implemented.

[Note: The version 5.2 of Essential PDF is a complete rewrite, so the APIs are not compatible with the previous version of Essential PDF. For applications that use all previous versions of Essential PDF, please refer to Syncfusion.Pdf.Legacy.Base.dll which is included with v5.2 and latest version (6.1.0.34) for maintaining compatibility and your application should work without any problem. We recommend using new library for any new development work since it will be actively supported and enhanced. ]

Yes, currently we are working on implementing the features already available in legacy PDF in New PDF, after that we planned to implement the new features. For opening the existing PDF document feature will be avilable in our next release.
