MainMenu bar problem, unable to bring it back

I am using 4.2 now. I can reproduce as following:

MainMenu bar, --> add/remove buttons --> Customize --> unCheck MainMenu , click close.

Somehow, there is no way for me to bring back the dispeared MainMenu bar. if you do, how ?

am I clear ?

Please do the following to show the MainMenu.

1. Standard bar-> add/remove buttons --> Customize --> Check MainMenu and click close button.

You can show the Main menu again. Please refer to the attached video clip that gives you an idea to show the MainMenu bar.

Thanks for your reply! very nice movie.
But for us, somehow we even didn't see CutCopyPaste floating bar at all. What do we need to do ? That is why we are frustrated.

1. Standard bar-> add/remove buttons --> Customize --> Check ToolBar and click close button.

Would you please simply tell me how to disable the bar's "dropdown" choice (add/remove ...) ? I would rather not let user use this customization stuff. Thx.

Hi YC ,

To hide the dropdown in the QuickCustomizing dropdown, you have to derive a customMainFrameBarManager and create a customCommandBarManager. Override GetAddOrRemoveButtonsParentItem method and change the visibility of the ParentBaritem.
