Selection margin

What is the purpose of the selection margin? Can the user display something in there? How?

Hi Bruno,

Selection Margin is generally used for outlining purposes. When SelectionMarginVisible property is set to true, it moves the entire text in the editcontrol by a fixed number of spaces away from the left margin,i.e., it creates an empty gutter adjacent to the left margin. This space is created to make room for the collapse and hide features used in outlining.
In our present implementation, selection margin is used for outlining purposes only. Please let us know what you are trying to do, so that we can modify the code accordingly and guide you through the customization process.
