Is is possible to set the edit control into a block selection mode instead of line selection mode so that when the user selects an area, the selected area is rectangular(e.g. doesn't select the start and end of the lines if you start your selection in the middle of your text)? Some of the overloads of the editcontrol.select function have an isLinewise parameter. I tried using that and it didn't seem to do what i thought it would. I thought that if i set this to False that the selection would be rectangular. Thanks, Shawn

Hi Shawn, Presently we do not have any feature for implementing block (rectangular) selection. However we have logged this as a 'feature request' and we will do our best to accomodate this in a future release of Essential Edit. Thanks, Guru Patwal.
