I want to perform data entry using a Grid grouping control with custom defined datatable (empty) as data source. For the first time when the page is loaded the user should be able to enter data in the first row. The first column will contain a dropdownbox (Which contains list of employee numbers) and on selecting the employee number need to disply corresponding employee name in the second column. On saving the previously entered data should be displayed and a new row should be added below that row.

Sorry for the delay in responding.
It is possible to display employee name in the second column while selecting the employee number in the dropdownbox of first column. But we had some issues while displaying the selected value in the dropdownbox. The selected value is not displayed and always the first item is displayed in v5.1. This issue is suspected to be a defect and we have sent this to our development team for more analysis. We will update you once we get back from our development team.
