When I do new ExcelEngine() an exception occurs - this is the text. "Showing a modal dialog box or form when the application is not running in UserInteractive mode is not a valid operation. Specify the ServiceNotification or DefaultDesktopOnly style to display a notification from a service application."

I have other apps that do new ExcelEngine with out any issues.

Can I new ExcelEngine from the context of an service?

Hi Rob,

Could you please provide me your sample in which you are able to reproduce the issue? It will help me in investigating further on this issue.

Thanks,
Melba

Hi, I am having exactly the same issue:
i.e. error when creating a new ExcelEngine in a windows service.

Any solution?

Thanks
