Advanced Graph Layouts

Hi,

We''re trying to use your diagram control for drawing quite advanced diagrams. We realised that your DirectedTreeLayoutManager doesn''t handle graphs with multi parent nodes or circular dependencies.

Now we''re wondering if your are planning on releasing some more advanced layout managers that can handle this?

I am sorry about this delay in responding.The forthcoming release of the Essential Diagram will not include any new layout managers.

However you can draw the graph with multi parent nodes by customizing the LayoutManagers class. Referring to the Samples/ LayoutManagers/ OrgChart ( also Samples/In Depth / Expander and OrgLayout samples)sample''s OrgChartManager class will give you an idea about creating the custom layout manager.

And as for the circular type layout,kindly refer the Samples/Layout Managers/RadialLayout sample.
