Setting the Display Member and the Value Member of the GridListControl will give the mentioned behavior. You can also refer the sample in \Syncfusion\Essential Studio\3.3.0.0\Windows\Grid.Windows\Samples\Quick Start\ComboBoxBaseGridDemo
