Hi Clay I think there is something i dont understand. I''m using the base grid which i enrich with new features. I then use it as virtual mode with external data source. Should the style info be in the data model with a GridStyleinfo associated with each cell or should it be disconected and applied one displayed. This make a huge difference when i have a lot of data. Thanks for your anwser Silver

If you are trying to use a true virtual grid, then all the style properties should be assigned to e.Style in QueryCellInfo from information maintained in your external data (or information dynamically generated). Nothing would be stored in the grid.
