custom row find

is there a way i can use the custom row find wizard that is part of the grid as a component to be used outside the grid?

i.e. i want to progrm my own enhanced fliter but would like to start with the custom wizard in the datagrid.

I am not sure I understand what you want. Here is a sample that shows a couple of ways of doing FInd. Using the built-in support is not necessarily the fastest way to do things as this sample shows. Maybe you can use one of these techniques to do what you need.

clay. what i''m looking for is the code that sits behind the custom find wizard. so i can expand on it to build my own custom find.
