Drag Drop Rows from Grid to TreeGrid

Hello

We let our user create Trees from a list of items provided as a list in a Grid.

Is it possible to drag a item from a Grid to a TreeView?

I didn't get the idea where to start here.

I already tried to set the "TreeGridRowDropSettings" on the tree and "GridRowDropSettings" on the Grid. But that's obviously not right.

The dragged Object is from another Type and I just need the ID to create a new node inside the tree drop position.

Thank you.

Hi Daniel,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

After suceessfully resolving the script error occurred while dropping which worked through Script Error thrown on performing RowDragandDrop between Grid to TreeGrid in Blazor | Feedback Portal (syncfusion.com), we still facing issues with triggering the row dropping events and so we have confirmed it as a bug and logged the defect report for the same as “RowDD between Grid to Treegrid wasn't triggering the respective events”. This issue fix will be included in the March 06, 2024 NuGet release. Until then we appreciate your patience.

You can now track the current status and review the proposed resolution timeline, and contact us for any further inquiries through the below feedback,

Hi Daniel,

We appreciate your patience

The reported issue was caused while dropping the record in treegrid component the target component’s instance not updated properly with the source component's blazor instance and different property for rowdrop target  in both components not considered properly causing the exception in that case and fix for the issue “
RowDD between Grid to Treegrid wasn't triggering the respective events ”  has been rolled out in our latest patch release (v25.1.41).  So, upgrade to our latest version to resolve the problem.

Nuget:- https://www.nuget.org/packages/Syncfusion.Blazor.TreeGrid
