Can BadgeView be used in Page.ToolBarItems?

If so, how, or what would be a work around?  Is it better to just not use toolbar and build custom toolbar?

Xamarin.Forms toolbar has only support to add icon and text as you can see in the below documentation link.

As badge view is a view, so it can be only added when there is support to add a view.
