Hide the uploaded files after successful upload

I would like to hide the uploaded files list after successfully uploading a file.  I have found that if I hide the e-upload-files class, it doesnt come back when I load a new file.  I have also tried removing the element, but I am having the same issue.  Subsequent uploads do no bring those elements back.
