Show loading in drop down

I have a SFAutoComplete with NoResultsFoundText set to "No results found" and its bound a collection of business objects.

When I'm making my Web API call to load the collection I clear the collection consequently SfAutoComplete shows "No results found" for a split second when I'm loading from the server. 

Is there a way to show a loading indicator instead of the "No results found" when loading items from a web api?

We have checked your requirement from our side and in our current implementation, we do not have support for loading ActivityIndicator in SfAutoComplete DropDown. We have logged a feature report for the same. You can find the feedback link details from below.
