Best way to display images in Core 2

I need to display images on a page that are stored in a sql db.  Think of a personnel database where multiple images of a person are stored though out the years and a user can scroll through them.  I'm thinking the Rotator control might of worked, but don't see it in Core/EJS?  Do you have a control for this or is it just best handled with img?
