QuickItems removal

Is there a way to remove the QuickItems entry from the 'Choose commands from' dropdown when customizing the QAT (as per attached file)?

Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for using Syncfusion product.

Currently, we don’t have option to remove the “Quick Items” from the drop down in QuickAccessToolBar window of RibbonControlAdv. Can you please share the purpose of removing it from the command options of customization QAT window? Based on your update, we will update you further on this.

Thanks for your reply, Arulraj.

Removing the QuickItems entry takes away the user temptation to 'see what happens when I click this'. Only relevant options should be made available to stop the unforeseen consequences of a particular action. So, as per my example image, only the Database options would be available and so under program control.

Regards

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the update

Currently, we don’t have option to remove the Quick Items from the drop down in Choose Commands option of RibbonControlAdv, we will consider this a feature request. If you could confirm some specific details, it would help us to implement the feature in line with your requirement.

Please review the following description of the feature and let us know if it conforms your requirement.

“An Boolean property to restrict the option to generate the items at the run time in the QAT Window of RibbonControlAdv”

If our definition of this feature is different from your requirement, then let us know the specific details, so that we can work towards fulfilling your requirement.

Hi Arulraj,

Thanks for the quick update and request for more information.

Yes, a boolean property to allow control over any non-user generated QAT entry in the 'Choose commands from' dropdown would be appreciated. All I see at present is the 'QuickItems' entry, but other items may be possible now or in the future. So, may be a separate boolean property is required for each Syncfusion generated entry in case some are required to be displayed.

A description such as the following may be more accurate:

"A Boolean property to show or hide the default 'Choose commands from' dropdown items in the RibbonControlAdv QAT dialog."

This could be for runtime or designer use.

Jeremy
