As far as I can tell, we have not exposed a simple event to prevent the dragging of a particular column. Stefan is travelling for a couple of days, and I will check with him later to see if I missed something. If I did not, then maybe we can expose something appropriate to handle this in a manner that will fit into the UI.
There are collection events that you can handle that would actually prevent the column from being added to the grouped columns, but this does not fit well into the UI that we have.

Thanks for the information Clay. It''s not critical at this point, but I have columns that contain note-type text and it just doesn''t make sense to allow grouping by that column. I''ll wait for an update.
