Import Excel Files into HDFS

HI,  is it possible to import excel files directly into HDFS ?  If it is, how would I create a job to import multiple excel files from a folder?

Yes. You can import excel files directly into HDFS. Use upload button available in HDFS explorer to import the excel files.

How would I create a job to import multiple excel files from a folder?

You can import the excel files in following ways.  Upload files manually:  Import the files by using Upload button available in HDFS tab whenever you need to upload.   Using Bat File:  Download and run the Upload.bat file manually or schedule the bat file using Task scheduler available in Windows. Make the following changes in Upload.bat file and run it.    path\to\local\folder à Local path of the excel folder. /path/to/target/HDFS/location à HDFS location for the destination folder
