Clean Demonstration Data

How can I Clean all demonstration data dashboard, widget, datasource, etc?

Thanks for using Syncfusion Products. 

  

If you are not published any of your own dashboards into dashboard server, Please follow the below steps to delete the samples data from Dashboard server. 

1. Find the 'DatabaseUninstaller.bat' file from the below location. 

C:\Syncfusion\Dashboard Server\Utilities\DatabaseUninstaller 

2. Now all your database and resource files are removed from the Dashboard Server 

3. Before doing application startup settings, navigate to the below location and delete the files from the folder. 

  C:\Syncfusion\Dashboard Server\DashboardServer.Web\SampleDashboards\ 

4. Now you can do the startup settings, and now the demo items cannot be loaded into Dashboard Server 

  

Otherwise, you have to delete the Dashboards, Widgets and data sources manually from the Dashboard Server.

Didn't work as expected, this removes all data/settings and force to reinstall all server configuration from start.

The earlier recommended steps will be helpful only if you don’t have your own data/settings in the dashboard server.   

   

Since at present we don’t have any utility to remove demonstration data, you have to delete the dashboards, widgets, and data sources manually from the Dashboard Server.

Ok, I think that demo data should be optional.

It's a pain remove one by one all those stuff.

We have created an utility for your convenience to remove the sample data from Dashboard Server.

Please follow the below steps to make the utility usable from your Dashboard server installed machine.

1. Download the zip file from the below link
   • http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/support/forum/131410/ze/RemoveSampleData787644905
     
2. Extract the downloaded file and place it in the below location in your dashboard server installed machine.
   • C:\Syncfusion\Dashboard Server\Utilities\
     
3. Run the 'RemoveSampleData.bat' file from the below location
   • C:\Syncfusion\Dashboard Server\Utilities\RemoveSampleData

Now the utility will remove all the sample data from your Dashboard server.

Please let me know if you found any difficulties.
