Subreport without reportServer

Hi,

is it possible to use a subreport without a using the reportServer?
I tried using a local report as a subreport but the error "Could not find file" was displayed.
Thanks.

Regards,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for your interest in Syncfusion Components.

Yes, it is possible to create subreport using locally saved RDL reports. If parent and child report located in same location then specify name of the child report as the below screenshot.

Also if child report is located outside of the parent report folder then append “..\” with subreport name to find the subreport is present in the relative path. We have prepared a simple report based on this and it can be downloaded from the following location.

Hi Vinoth,

thanks for your response. Do I have to put the subreport into a tablix?
I tried it using a report which is essentially a report for its own. I put in all the parameters
but the subreport won´t show. Both are in the same directory.
Is this because of the subreport which has it´s own default and available values for the parameters?
I attached both reports.

Thanks.

Regards,
Patrick

Hi Vinoth,

I tried the subreport with a small subreport.
If I pass a multi value parameter to the subreport then the query (in the subreport) which depends on the passed parameter values
does not retrieve any data. Both parameters are multi value and have the same type.
Is there something I´m missing? Could it be possible that this has something to do with the datasource credentials?
Thanks.

Regards,
Patrick
