Changing the color of the grid control for area where there is no grid data?

When you drop a gridcontrol onto a form, the portions of the grid that don''t have rows are painted with a color that seems to be derived from the system color settings, I believe the exact color is the Control color. Is there an easy way to change the color of the area of the grid where there are no rows?

Try setting this.gridControl1.Properties.BackgroundColor to see if this is the color you want to change.
