After the installation which was successful, cliked to launch the Data Integration Dashboard. Screen loads with spinning wheels and stays there until error message comes up that it is unable to launch. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot.
It looks it runs on Java. Do I need to update or make sure that it is running a certain version of Java.

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support. 

Please find the below response for your queries: 

Screen loads with spinning wheels and stays there until error message comes up that it is unable to launch. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot. 
At initial time Syncfusion Data Integration Platform takes few minutes to start. Because it will create file, database, content and provenance repositories. Initial startup time duration varies based on System Configuration and System CPU usage. 

If you share log’s folder. It will be more useful to find the problem. 
Log file’s Location: 
{Installed drive} : \Syncfusion\Data Integration\\SDK\NIFI\logs 
{Installed drive} : \Syncfusion\Data Integration\\Utilities\DataIntegrationAgentLogs 
{Installed drive} :\Syncfusion\Data Integration\\Utilities\DataIntegrationManagerLogs 

C:\Syncfusion\Data Integration\\SDK\NIFI\logs 
C:\Syncfusion\Data Integration\\Utilities\DataIntegrationAgentLogs 
C:\Syncfusion\Data Integration\\Utilities\DataIntegrationManagerLogs 

It looks it runs on Java. Do I need to update or make sure that it is running a certain version of Java. 
Yes, It runs on Java. But no need to worry about it. Because we already shipped Java Package (jdk1.7.0_51) with our Syncfusion Data Integration Platform build.

I have exactly the same problem.

DataIntegrationService-28.09.2016.log ->

System.InvalidOperationException: Der Dienst Syncfusion Data Integration Agent wurde nicht auf dem Computer [XXXXXXXX] gefunden. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Der angegebene Dienst ist kein installierter Dienst
   --- Ende der internen Ausnahmestapelüberwachung ---
   bei System.ServiceProcess.ServiceController.GenerateNames()
   bei System.ServiceProcess.ServiceController.get_ServiceName()
   bei System.ServiceProcess.ServiceController.Start(String[] args)
   bei System.ServiceProcess.ServiceController.Start()
   bei Syncfusion_Data_Integration_Platform.Program.Main(String[] args)

I startet the installation as a admin but it looks like the Service is not installed.
In the Windows services is not service from Syncfusion.

Hi Franz, 
Thank you for contacting Syncfusion Support. 
Problem occurred in German OS because of the space in Installation path and application name. 
Installation path: “C:\Syncfusion\Data Integration\\” 
Application name: “Syncfusion Data Integration Agent.exe” 
To resolve this do the following changes: 
Remove space installation path: “C:\Syncfusion\DataIntegration\\” 
Remove space application name: “SyncfusionDataIntegrationagent.exe” 
Then start Data Integration service from service manager. 
This issue has been resolved in Data Integration Platform version release.
