Word, Excel render

Dear all,

I try to render Word, Excel file to Android & iOS. (syncfusion xamarin)

1. Direct render word,excel file.

2. Convert to PDF and render a PDF.

3. I saw Dropbox can show any file (word, excel, pdf). Any way posibble to do that.

I want to use Syncfusion Xamarin for my project (ios & android)

But when I try I can not work with some important function.

1. View word, excel file

2. Word to PDF (if not direct show word file)

3. ??? can not show PDF file???

Any answer for this.

Regarding Word viewer on Xamarin platform(Android and iOs):
Currently DocIO doesn’t have Word document viewer and Word to PDF conversion in the Xamarin platform and we don’t have any immediate plans to implement this feature. It may be implemented in any of our future releases. 

Regarding Excel viewer on Xamarin platform (Android and iOs):
At present we do not have support to view an Excel file and convert an Excel file to PDF in Xamarin.Forms(Android /iOS platforms). However, we have added it to our Feature request list and it will be implemented in any of our upcoming releases.
We have prepared a workaround sample to read the data from Excel file and bind it programmatically to the grid in Xamarin.Forms. The sample can be downloaded from the below link.

Regarding PDF viewer on Xamarin platform (Android and iOs) :
At present, we do not have support for PDF Viewer in Xamarin Forms (Android/iOS) and it is under implementation. This feature will be available in our Essential Studio 2016 Volume 3 which will be rolled out by end of September 2016.

Hi Team,

Any update on Excel viewer ?

Can you suggest me ways for opening .doc,.excel,pdf file inside android/iOS app, 

but i have two limitation,

1) Due to security reasons, i don't want to open file in any external app.

2) My file is not hosted online, I just want to open file from application's local directory.

 Is there any way with syncfusion...

Regarding Excel viewer and editor:
We regret to let you know that currently we don’t have support to view Excel documents in Xamarin.Forms (Android/iOS). However, we have added it to our feature request list and it will be implemented in any of our upcoming releases.

Regarding Word document viewer and editor:
DocIO is a non-UI component that provides a full-fledged document instance model like the Microsoft Office COM libraries to iterate with the document elements explicitly and perform necessary manipulation.

As we mentioned in our earlier update, currently DocIO doesn’t have Word document viewer and Word to PDF conversion in the Xamarin platform. However, we have added it to our feature request list and we don’t have any immediate plans to implement this feature. It may be implemented in any of our future releases.

And currently DocIO supports viewing the generated Word document as HTML in Xamarin. We have prepared the sample to meet your requirement, as a work around and attached the same for your reference. Try running the sample and let us know whether it helps you.

Regarding PDF viewer and editor:
