Retrieving current zoom level?

For an application I am writing we are using sfDiagram and need to have certain data shown/hidden based on the current zoom level. For example when I zoom in the label for an object on the diagram would appear and disappear when zoomed out.

Is there a way to retrieve the current zoom level so I can bind an whether or not labels are shown to the current zoom level.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
