Currently Dashboard Application does not support SSAS Tabular Model - Direct query.

Can I ask one more thing ?

If I host Dashboard/Report server in Windows server, Can I access the Cloud database ? or the vice-versa if I host the server in Cloud, can I access the on-premise databases ?

In overall , I am looking for cross referring on-premise and Cloud sources.

If I host Dashboard/Report server in Windows server, Can I access the Cloud database ?	Yes, you can connect to the supported databases when hosted in cloud server.
if I host the server in Cloud, can I access the on-premise databases ?	Yes, you can connect to the supported on-premises databases from Dashboard Sever (which is hosted in Cloud)

 

Could you please share us the following details? 

1.     What type of database you prefer to run in cloud?  

2.     Whether the database will be running in Virtual machine in cloud or as a service
