Range Slider in axml

Hi,
I have been trying to use Range Slider as a custom control in my axml file but the control is not rendering. Can anyone tell me why?
I have wasted 2 hours in this. The documentation is not sufficient. Please mention the way how can I place it at a certain position in my fragments layout file.
