Child grid parent ID

Hi

I have a child grid with adding records enabled.

How do I pass the parent ID to the insert action in the controller.

I am using a dialog edit form and I can set all of the fields of the new reoord but when I press the save button the record passed to the controller has 0 as the parent id.

The sample you sent me regarding a previous post "technical support incident 156254" also exibits the same problem
