Issue editing rows with Microsoft Edge

If you edit a row (with double clic) with Microsoft Edge, you cannot exit from edit mode.

We have created a sample and checked with edge browser. But, we were unable to reproduce the issue at our end.  

Please share the following information to find the cause of the issue and provide a solution       

1.       Clearly explain in which scenario you are facing the issue. 

2.       Are you enabled selection in Grid. 

3.       Are you enabled enableAutoSaveOnSelectionChange property in Grid? 

4.       Did you facing the issue while perform delete or save operation using toolbar icons  

5.       Are you using cancelEdit method ? 

6.       Essential version details.   

7.       Are you facing issue only in Edge browser? 

8.       Is there any script error or exception thrown in your project? If so, attach a screenshot for your stack trace. 

9.       Full client and server-side code example 

10.   An issue reproducing sample if possible or replicate the issue in the following sample.

Hi Jorge, 

 

We were unable to reproduce the mentioned issue at our end. But we are facing another issue  in below scenario. 

 

First edit any grid row then press escape/Enter key, editform will be closed. 

 

After pressing Escape key we are not able to edit any row in grid. 

 

Could you please confirm that  you are facing the issue in  same scenario ? This will help us to provide a solution for this issue. 

 

If your scenario is different , please share the video to show the issue and issue replication procedure, so that we can work towards solving it.

Hello,

This issue is only with Microsoft Edge. When you edit a row, it is impossible to exit from edit mode (Normal mode).

Hello,

In the sample, when you edit a row with double click, you cannot exit from edit mode. As far as I know there is not any exception or error.

We have checked your video and found one issue that is, the editType control that has been specified in the corresponding columns are not rendered properly while editing the grid row. Please check the below screenshots.  

 

We have took the below screen shot from your video, in that ejDropDownList control not rendered properly: 

 

Expected output Image should be like below while editing a row: We have took the below screen shot while running the sample that has been modified by you. 

 

 

Can you please ensure whether you have refer the individual dependency script files. If so it is necessary to refer the dependency file “ej.dialog.js”/ ej.dialog.min.js because you have set editType as dropdown for ShipCountry column so that while enable the Editing feature in the grid it renders properly.

Note: For your kind information, we are not able to reproduce the above reported issue in the sample that you have modified and sent to us.

1.       Open the developer tool in your browser and check if any script error occurs in the console window. If any script error occurs please expand it and send the screen shot.

Hello,

Any script error occurs. I think it is not a dependencis problem, becouse it works with Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, but it doesn't work with Microsoft Edge.
