We are having trouble using the AutoComplete control for Xamarin.Android.

We can see the control, can enter the search text and we see the popup with the suggestions but cannot click on them.

We can do scroll  in the suggestions list, but as we cannot select any item, the popup only closes by clicking the back button.

 

This problem occurs on some devices only.

 

The devices where the problem occurs are:

-          Lg G Pad 10.1 with Android lollipop

-          Samsung Tab 2 with Android 4.1.2

-          Samsung GT-S6810P with Android 4.1.2

-          Samsung GT-I8260 with Android 4.1.2

 

The devices where the control work correctly:

-          Microsoft Emulator Lollipop (5.1.1) (similar to Nexus 7)

-          Wiko Goa with Android Version 4.4.2

-          Honeywell DT5E  with Android version 4.4.4

 

This problem happens in our application and also in Syncfusion Sample Browser application.

The use of AutoComplete control in our application is dependent on the suggestion list.

Hi Paulo,

We are unable to reproduce that reported problem with Lg G Pad 10.1 with Android lollipop .We are currently setting up environment similar to other mentioned configurations. We will get back to you once tested.

Hi Paulo,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

We were able to reproduce the reported issue on further analysis and have logged defect report regarding this. This fix is available in our upcoming Volume 4 SP1 release .We will let you know once it has been rolled out.
