Cross Hair with line graph

Hi there

I was wondering if I can get some help with creating a program with a cross hair in a line graph program. I'm really struggling to understand any of it as I'm very knew to this, can someone please help me?

I do have one question, is it possible to have the y axis crosshair only move along the maximum value of the data on the line graph using your example you gave me?

The trackball behaviour for the x axis cross hair was great but I think there was some confusion, I would like the x axis line of the cross hair behaviour, from movinf to the max values on the y axis cross hair line, is this possible?
