Only Group when there is more than 1 Item

Is there any built in way to only group when there are multiple items or would that require custom grouping?

Hi Rudy,

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support.

We have analyzed your query and we couldn’t understand your requirement clearly. We don’t have direct built in support to group the columns based your requirement in SfDataGrid, but using custom grouping option we can group the columns based on your requirement. Please refer to the following UG and KB links to find more details on the custom grouping in SfDataGrid.

UG link: http://docs.syncfusion.com/wpf/sfdatagrid/grouping

KB link: http://www.syncfusion.com/kb/2732/how-to-apply-the-custom-grouping-while-grouping-the-column-using-groupdroparea

Please let us know if you require further assistance on this.

Thanks,
Ashok

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I just mean I just want a regular row to show up with no summary..not expandable or collapsible..just like there was no grouping applied to any row.
So only have a group with more than one item show the summary and be able to expand or collapse. I'll see if I can make it happen with custom grouping. Thanks for the quick response.

Hi Rudy,

Thank you for your update. We have analyzed your query and in our SfDataGrid we don’t have support for partial grouping. If we group the column in SfDataGrid, it will create the group with summary row, this is default behavior .

Please let us know if you require further assistance on this.

Thanks,

Ashok
