We are using the syncfusion grid with our WebAPI based server - a remote data source.
Once our Grid has initialised each time we select the Filter drop down menu to begin creating the filter criteria the full data-set is re-downloaded.
Since we are dealing with large data-sets this re-download is very punishing on performance.
It seems a bit pointless to do remote data source with pagination, when every filter downloads the full data set.
Is there any optimizations we can enable for large remote data sets using excel style filter? ie. get only unique values for that column?
See attached sample for repro (although sample only contains small dataset). If you open chrome dev tools and monitor the network tab, you will see the full dataset downloaded everytime any of the column filters are opened.
