Typescript definitions for JS Essentials community edition?

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if these definition files are indeed shipped with the Community edition? If so where might they be found?

Many thanks.

Hi Forty,

Query: Can anyone tell me if these definition files are indeed shipped with the Community edition? If so where might they be

Yes, we have shipped the TypeScript definition file with community edition. You can get this file from the location where our samples are locally installed in your machine. It will be available in the folder named “Typescript”. Please follow the below steps to access this folder.

Open the dashboard. On the left side of the dashboard choose the JavaScript platform.

Now, on the right side choose the option “Explore Samples” as shown in the image,

It will open the location where the controls are installed locally. Suppose if it is installed in C Drive, the location will be something like this,

[Installed Drive]: \Users\lab\AppData\Local\Syncfusion\EssentialStudio\version\JavaScript

Now we can find the “assets” folder. This folder includes four folders namely

CSS - Contains CSS files/ style sheets required for the JavaScript components

External – Contains third party script files (necessary to include based upon the component used) like JQuery, jsrender etc...

Scripts – Contains script files required by the JavaScript components.

TypeScript -  Contains the TypeScript definition file.

Also we would like to inform you that, currently we have some known issues with the TypeScript definition file in our version 12.4.0.30. We have now fixed those issues internally, and the fix will be included in our upcoming service pack release for JavaScript which is expected to be roll out at the end of this month (February).

Hello HariKrishnan

Thank you for the updated .TS file.

I installed Syncfusion Essentials 12.4.0.24 to another drive and the installer has not populated the assets folder, the root exists but none of the subfolders you describe are present. The various Syncfusion assemblies have also been installed into the GAC so the installation process has clearly done 95% of the work. Please let me know if you need further information to resolve this issue.

Hi forty,

Sorry for the Inconvenience caused.

In order to get the assets folder, please refer the below location in your machine.

Location: {Installed Location}\JavaScript\assets

Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\12.4.0.24\JavaScript\assets

If the specified folder is not available in the above location, then please follow the below steps.

1. Download and extract the zip file from the below link.
http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/support/directtrac/118298/assets1542853982.zip

2. Copy the extracted folders and paste them at the above mentioned install location.

3. Also, Please copy that extracted files to below samples location.
[Installed Drive]: \Users\lab\AppData\Local\Syncfusion\EssentialStudio\version\JavaScript

Example: C:\Users\labuser\AppData\Local\Syncfusion\EssentialStudio\12.4.0.24\JavaScript\assets

Now, you can able to use the specified folder from the mentioned location.

Also, Could you please let us know which platforms you have selected while installing the Syncfusion Essential Studio build ?

Please let me know if you have any questions.
