Copying multiple cells on a GridControl on different rows (selected by holding CTRL while selecting)

Whenever I select multiple cells on my GridControl(by holding down the CTRL key while selecting) and do a copy (CTRL+V) it seems to copy the range from the top-left-most selected cell to the bottom-right-most selected cell.

For example if I select cells B1, C2, D4 and do a copy and then paste my values into Excel, the whole range B1:D4 is pasted (12 cells) instead of just the 3 required cells.

Is there any way to just copy the selection when the selection is not contiguous?
