Dynamic Column ItemsSource / Null DateTime is 1/1/0001

I am using AutoGenerateColumns = True with a DataTable as the ItemsSource.  The columns in the DataTable can vary at runtime, so I cannot explicity use GridDateTimeColumn to configure AllowNull or NullText.  The grid is displaying Null date time cells as 1/1/0001.  How can I resolve this?
