Starting in 2019, the Reporting control is no longer included in Essential Studio. If you're experiencing issues with the Syncfusion Reporting Platform, Report Viewer, Report Designer, or Report Writer, we recommend migrating to Bold Reports, our dedicated reporting platform.

Bold Reports offers a comprehensive suite of tools and features for all your reporting needs, and we will help you make a smooth transition from the discontinued control. Our support team at https://support.boldreports.com/ is here to assist you with any questions or difficulties you may encounter during the migration process.

We thank you for choosing Syncfusion and appreciate your understanding.

RDLC Embeding data

Hi,

Looking at the examples you have sent me to use the report controller I see that the RDLC files have data embedded in them did you save the RDLC from a SSRS source or can you tell me how I can render the report (RDLC) so that it contains the data and then I can pass this to the report viewer and I can then do what I want with it.

As I have said before we are not linking the reports to any SQL Databases all the values in the reports are programmatically created, so we can use the export function in the control I figured I need to embed the data in to the report as  setting it to remote no data is displayed and setting it to local the export function dies.

Any help would be greatly accepted. I will keep looking for the embedding data in to RDLC in the mean time.

Hi Darren  ,

Thanks for using syncfusion products .

Due to some limintation platform itself can’t export report directly in ReportViewer Silverlight , but through the WCF service can export the report . Also we have already logged feature request for offline export support in ReportViewer Silverlight . It will be available in our 2013 volume 4 release . Please find our online documentation section “How to export RDLC report in Silverlight “

Also we have attached sample Reportservice application for your requirement . Please find from following loation
