Sf Prefix in Chart control

Can someone tell me what's the difference between Chart and SfChart controls or any other control with Sf prefix?

Thank You.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for using Syncfusion products.

The Sf prefix is a naming convention that we have adopted for 2nd generation/newer controls since 2012. Their main advantages are much better performance, touch friendly and share API across WPF, Silverlight, WinRT and Windows Phone. The recommended general guideline for new projects are to use the Sf series of controls.

Please let us know if you have any queries.

M. Sheik

None of the documentation seems to reference this.  Is there documentation for the sfChart component?  I've been struggling with the chart control for days, just now to find out I'm using the wrong component.
