Selection across CoveredRange issues

Here are two screens of our issues.

http://prntscr.com/r7qk0

http://prntscr.com/r7rde

Now, we are using the GridGroupingControl with the following set:

this.TableOptions.AllowSelection = GridSelectionFlags.None;
this.TableOptions.ListBoxSelectionColorOptions = GridListBoxSelectionColorOptions.ApplySelectionColor;
this.TableOptions.ListBoxSelectionCurrentCellOptions = GridListBoxSelectionCurrentCellOptions.None;

What we want on the first screenshot is to have all 3 "Central Florida"s to be highlighted.
What we want on the second screenshot is for all "Caronlinas" to be highlighted.

I'm not sure what I can override to achieve this.  Our older grids used to do this by default I believe.

Thanks,
-jv
