"Fatal Error" in Syncfusion.PDF.Parsing PdfLoadedDocument

When I try to use PdfLoadedDocument to open a pdf file, I get a "Fatal Error at 6855." error in Syncfusion.Pdf.Base.  What is this error?  Is there a way to get around it?  It's not a very complicated pdf document so I won't be able to use this tool if I can't get past this error.  I can email this pdf document directly if needed.  We are using SyncFusion version 8.403.
