Overview
The Xamarin Masked Entry is a customization entry control that lets you restrict input to certain types of characters, text, and numbers using mask characters or regex. This control can be used to create a template for providing information such as telephone numbers, IP addresses, product IDs, and so on.
Variable length mask expressions
The Xamarin.Forms Masked Entry control gives you great flexibility to control variable length of data input.
Culture
Values are formatted based on the set culture with special symbols like currency symbols, date separators, and decimal separators.
Custom prompt character
Customize the prompt character when the default prompt character ( _ ) is not suitable for your scenario.
Validation mode
Choose when to validate the data input.
Lost focus
Validate the data input when the control is no longer in focus.
Key press
Validation triggers for each key press.
Formatting clipboard text
During a cut or copy operation, format the clipboard text with literals and prompt characters.
Exclude prompt and literals

Customize the border color of the Xamarin.Forms Masked Entry to any of the predefined native colors to match your app theme.
Error border color
Flexibly customize the error border color when the default error border color (Color.Red) is not suitable for your scenario.
